Christina hails from the rural routes north of Kingston Ontario. As a child, she took to the arts instantly, studying Tap, Jazz and Ballet since the age of 3. Teaching dance workshops at summercamps and highschool phys-ed classes, Christina is a certified Associate Member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Singing from the age of 9, she picked up guitar and piano and began composing her own music. This lead to a self-titled solo EP and 2 records with the folk trio, The Lady Racers. She also lends her vocal back-up skills to the band Rocket Surgery and a wide variety of other local artists. She toured from Montreal through to Windsor playing numerous festivals and concerts meeting many of her idols along the way. Christina trained at the Music Together® headquarters in Hopewell, NJ, and is a registered Music Together Teacher and Center Director. She taught Music Together classes at a center in Toronto for a year and was over the moon to introduce the program in her home community of Kingston back in 2013! Music collaboration has been her foundation to nurture her passion and skills, and she adores sharing this joy with children and their families!

Aviva and Christina will be co-teaching this class. Sometimes they will be together, just Aviva, or just Christina!

Aviva is a mother, journalist, and musician from Kingston, Ontario. From a young age she was passionate about music and began writing and performing songs when she was eight years old. As a teenager and young adult she regularly performed as one half of the duo 11am. Aviva dreamed of a career in music but ultimately decided to pursue her interest in writing through journalism. She holds a BJH from the University of King’s College and worked for several years as a radio producer and director for CBC Manitoba.
After nearly a decade away — learning and working in Halifax and Winnipeg — Aviva moved her family back home and decided to focus on spending time with her daughter, Sloane. Together, they discovered Music Together and the joy that it brings to children and adults alike. Aviva is a registered Music Together Teacher, and she’s very much looking forward to sharing that joy with more families in the years to come.

Alex Mundy is a Roots/Pop songwriter and performing artist. Alex has recorded her original work with musician and producer Chris Brown (Bourbon Tabernacle Choir), and continues to share her music with others through live performance. In 2013, she received a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Drama and Music from Queen’s University, and in 2014, she completed her teaching degree in the Queen’s Concurrent Education program. In a pursuit to blend her passions of music and education, Alex joined the Kingston Frontenac Music Together teaching team in the summer of 2016. Alex trained at the Music Together® headquarters in Hopewell, New Jersey, and is thrilled to share the magic of this program with her hometown community. She cannot wait to create more musical memories with families in Kingston, Ontario!
